Yugioh How To Draw Slifer The Sky Dragon
The Yu-Gi-Oh! Legendary Collection contains six of the most powerful and popular monsters from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series. Obviously, this collection couldn't be complete without all of the Egyptian God Cards, including Yugi's famous Slifer the Sky Dragon!
Slifer the Sky Dragon was first released in North America almost 6 years ago, and hasn't been reprinted since then. Luckily, the Legendary Collection gives Duelists another chance to get their hands on this Egyptian God Card. Even though Slifer the Sky Dragon can't be used in a Duel, it's a historic part of Yu-Gi-Oh!, popular among fans of the original animated series.
Slifer the Sky Dragon made its first appearance in the hands of Yugi's enemy, a Rare Hunter named Strings who was under the control of Marik. When Yugi was forced to face it, he almost lost all hope. Slifer the Sky Dragon was virtually indestructible and decreased the ATK and DEF of all monsters Yugi Summoned by 2000 Points! Slifer even had the power to destroy those monsters if their stats dropped to 0 by Slifer's effect.
Strings was also able to bring Slifer's ATK to extraordinary heights, since it gained 1000 ATK for every card in Strings' hand. He was able to put Yugi in a tight spot by Summoning Slifer to the field early in the Duel and setting up a combo with Infinite Cards and Card of Safe Return (notably, now a Forbidden card!) to let him continuously draw cards and never have to discard them.
Fortunately for Yugi, he was able to defeat Strings without destroying Slifer the Sky Dragon. He turned Strings' combo against him, forcing him to draw infinitely! When Strings ran out of cards in his Deck, Yugi was able to claim the victory, as well as the Egyptian God Card.
Slifer the Sky Dragon didn't make another appearance until the Battle City Quarterfinals, where Yugi faced Bakura in a Duel. Even though Bakura managed to back Yugi into a corner thanks to Dark Necrofear, Dark Sanctuary, and Destiny Board, he was no match for Yugi's Egyptian God Card. Once Yugi Summoned Slifer the Sky Dragon, he wiped Bakura out in one attack.
In the Battle City Semi-Finals, Yugi faced off against his rival, Seto Kaiba, for the first time since Duelist Kingdom. But this time, with an Egyptian God Card in each of their possessions, things were different. Each Duelist spent some turns altering the ATK of an Egyptian God Card to protect his own. Eventually, the Duel came down to a clash between Yugi's Slifer the Sky Dragon and Kaiba's Obelisk the Tormentor. Both monsters destroyed each other and the Duelists were left fighting without their Egyptian God Cards.
The Duel finally ended with a clash between different titans. Yugi took down Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragons with his Dark Paladin thanks to the power of Diffusion Wave-Motion, claiming Kaiba's Obelisk as his own.
Slifer the Sky Dragon set everything into motion for Yugi. His victory over Strings earned him the power of an Egyptian God, which he used to use to take the Battle City Tournament by storm. You can get all of the Egyptian God Cards and reminisce about Yugi's triumphs with the new Legendary Collection!
